This Privacy Policy explains how Mighty Duck Apps handles information when you use Waves: Music Visualiser (“Waves”).
Information stored on your device
Waves can store app settings, playlists, favourites, visual-library state, imported or generated visual data, and references to media you choose to make available to the app. Local app data remains on your device unless a feature you choose requires it to be transmitted or synchronised.
Optional account and synchronisation
If you choose to sign in with Google, Waves uses Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication to identify your account. Google/Firebase may provide basic account information such as your account identifier, name, email address and profile image. Waves may use Firebase/Firestore to store account-linked library and synchronisation data, such as playlists, favourites and supported sync state, so that it can be available across supported devices.
Local music and casting
Adding local music to Waves does not, by itself, upload your music library to Mighty Duck Apps. When you choose to cast, media, audio, visual output or related playback information may be transmitted across your network to the cast device or receiver needed to provide the feature.
Lyrics
When you request lyrics, Waves may send limited track metadata — for example artist, title, album or duration — to a lyrics service in order to search for and retrieve lyrics. Lyrics availability and the data practices of a third-party lyrics provider are governed by that provider.
Cloudflare-hosted services
Waves uses Cloudflare-hosted infrastructure to serve public web pages, cast receiver resources, catalogue files and other static app resources. When your device requests these resources, Cloudflare may process standard network information such as IP address, request headers, timestamps and user-agent information as part of delivering and protecting the service.
What Mighty Duck Apps does not do
Mighty Duck Apps does not sell your personal information. Waves does not require you to create an account to use core local features unless a particular feature specifically requires account access.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until you remove it, clear app data or uninstall the app. Account-linked information may remain in the cloud while your account or synced data is active. You may contact Mighty Duck Apps to request deletion of account-linked data that we control.
Third-party services
Waves may rely on services provided by Google/Firebase, Cloudflare, casting platforms and lyrics providers. Those services process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
Children
Waves is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through a dedicated child-directed service.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Waves changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
